About this app

It's a one-touch timer is designed for parents to keep motivated in addressing four key caregiving issues. There are four essential parent-time strategic categories according to research: Provide, Arrange, Relate, Teach. Parents who spend an equal amount of time have a better relationship with their children.
This app helps parents ensure they are aware of the four categories, and helps them commit to at least 5 minutes a day with each category. With this knowledge and activity commitment, parents are empowered to use their time better and enjoy being with their children and teaching them. After 5 minutes are up, the background will change color. When a different category is selected, different quotes are shown. Start the app and the default is 5 minutes. By pushing the right side buttons, one can adjust the timer to 15 or 30 minute increments. By toggling the audio button, one can receive a vibration sound to be subtly aware that the timer has been completed. The timer automatically restarts, to promote more time being spent on each type of activity.
The app starts up in the most valuable category for parenting-- Relating to your child. When Relate is selected, the screen will show motivational quotes about how to spend quality time bonding with your child. When Arrange is selected, the quotes change to reflect how to schedule and manage your family's environment more efficiently. When Provide is the category, quotes are focused on taking care of basic needs so that children can thrive. When Teach is the topic, quotes about providing instruction to children are shown.
