The emergency guide "Medicines and guidelines in emergency medicine", which has already sold 58,000 times, has now been available as an internet-independent, interactive app for more than 10 years. Hundreds of medications, dosages, scores, algorithms, ventilation parameters for emergency medicine, intensive care medicine and anesthesia can be found in seconds. All Scores and Tables (GCS, APGAR, ASA, NACA, NYHA, Baxter, VIP, BMI etc.) are operated interactively by simply tapping on the screen. For example, the app not only provides the simple resuscitation dose of adrenaline, but also the perfusor setting for a toddler in cardiogenic shock - or do you prefer vasopressin (Pressyn®)?
The primer not only offers tailor-made information for emergency doctors and paramedics in the rescue service, but also for all practical and clinical doctors, especially for doctors and qualified nurses in anaesthesiology, intensive care and emergency medicine< /b>.
The search is carried out at lightning speed according to a wide variety of aspects: From full-text searches to commercial or non-proprietary names or indications, you can always find your destination quickly and from there to related terms and explanations. A glossary explains every term and every abbreviation used precisely and can be accessed directly from the texts. Example ECG curves and an image database explain the facts clearly. Medical algorithms such as for ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) according to ESC, Advanced Life Support, CPR guidelines and newborn CPR according to ERC can be operated interactively. Parameters for ventilation or intubation can be accessed quickly and easily. Other useful functions such as a CPR metronome, a note and favorites function as well as directly dialable emergency telephone numbers round off the extensive app.
The AGN emergency guide is recommended by: ÖRK (Austrian Red Cross), ÖNK (Austrian Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine), ARC (Austrian Resuscitation Council), ÖBRD (Austrian Mountain Rescue), IKAR- CISA (International Commission for Alpine Rescue) and the MC (Medical Corps Graz).
When you first start the app, you must agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in order to use the app. You can request a refund of the purchase price if you do not agree.
Among other things, the terms of use state that the app is currently classified as a non-medical product (Graz University of Technology, State Accredited Testing Center for Medical Devices, test report 01/17) and that the app is currently not approved by the FDA (Federal Food and Drug Administration, USA) is chorded. Therefore, the app is officially only released for teaching and training. The app must therefore not be used on patients. In particular, the app may not be used for treatment decisions or to support treatment decisions for specific patients. Only information from official sources, such as package inserts or official guidelines, is ultimately valid.
The location authorization (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) is only required for the optionally activated “Share my location” function. Before the app can retrieve your location, you must explicitly agree to this. Your determined location will neither be sent to our servers nor used for any other purposes.
The app is only available in German-speaking countries (DACH region and Italy (South Tyrol)) and is only available in German.
