About this app

E-CNY app is the official service platform for the trial program of the digital version of fiat currency issued by the People’s Bank of China. The app is open to individual users, provides wallet opening and management services, and facilitates the exchange and circulation of e-CNY. E-CNY pilots in certain designated areas and designated pilot programs; pilot customers are qualified to register.

Ratings and reviews

Installed and working. Set up new account and transferred in funds. Very easy process. App looks nice and is simple to use. But now I don't know where I can use e-CNY. App needs a section promoting and using e-CNY and a merchant list. Is there even a logo we should look for at merchants.

This app failed to register my mobile number because it kept saying "attempts too many times. Try again later." No way to contact developer.

Probably most internationally friendly and easy to use payment app in China, But sadly many workspaces, restaurants, shops and markets etc. don't use this service.

Optimized wallet top-up and payment processes. Fixed bugs for better foreign user experience.
