GridSwan is the most popular Android application to solve logic puzzles also known as griddlers, hanjie, nonogram, picross, kare karalamaca, japanese crossword, cryptopics or pic-a-pix. The goal of griddlers is to find out the positions of black or colored blocks using number hints in the white grid. The resulting solution of the puzzle is an image. GridSwan supports 4 types of griddlers puzzle: standard (black&white), colored, triangle and multi griddlers and comes with lots of free puzzles.

Ratings and reviews

I enjoy this app. It's a fun puzzle game, but even with the switch in name (and assumedly ownership, but that may not be the case), it seems to be lacking quality control because of just how many puzzles there are, but one is named Goose, but it's Perry the Platypus. It's not the first I've noticed like this where it was called one thing, but the solution was something else entirely. That's why it's 3 stars, because I do still have fun, but these glaring issues drag it down for me.

I'm a huge fan of the griddler puzzles, love that I don't have to deal with pencil and paper anymore. Great interface, layout, and look. I wish there was a way to cycle through color/x/erase by clicking individual squares instead of having to click a separate button, but it's still 5 stars for me! (Nov 2018) Why take away individual buttons for filling/deleting/marking empty? Changing color in a single cell shouldn't need multiple clicks. Hilighting areas to change colors shouldn't either.

Literally the only nonogram app that lets you fill out multiple lines at the same time. If only other idiotic developers could put this simple mechanic in their nonogram game. Meanwhile this one's had it for years, which is why it's the best one. Never complete a puzzle without it. Edit: has a horrible bug that completely wipes the progress from a puzzle when you leave the app with a puzzle open even after saving multiple times. It frustrates me having to do the same puzzle over and over again.
