The Regina Pacis Monastery app aims to transmit and bring together the messages of Our Lady Queen of Peace, news, daily liturgy, testimonies of our founder Father Eugenio Maria Pirovano La Barbera, among other matters of the fraternity.
We are a Monastic Community of monks: priests and brothers, who consecrate themselves as Disciples of Jesus, through the mediation of Mary, Queen of Peace, for the Glory of God the Father. Heavenly Homeland under the inspiration of the Gospel.
Based on the Holy Rule of St. Benedict, who is the teacher in monastic life, our monastic community strives to live it, as the monks understood in the Middle Ages, that is, interpreting the spirit of the Rule. For this reason, in our monastery, the motto ora et labora – pray and work – becomes alive and present in the life of every disciple of Jesus.
Thus, daily life in the monastery favors a fair balance between prayer and work. Our monastic life is lived with our whole being between prayer (soul) and work (body), favoring a personal encounter with God, which is the maxim of monastic life. A life of consecration to God. Renouncing all that separates him from God, the monk seeks to reach the goal of contemplative life.
Along with Benedictine spirituality, our monastery also lives Marian spirituality, based on the recitation of the Holy Rosary in community, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Holy Cross, followed by fasting and a continuous review of life.
