I have a Samsung phone and the app will rarely focus on the barcode and register the item. I have to manually enter the barcode number for each item I buy. I've reloaded the app a few times and it still does the same thing. I worked with several people at a few of the stores and they cannot resolve the issue. When I check out, it focuses and checks out fine. On my camera and many other apps that I have, I have no problem using the camera. It is just with this app when scanning grocery items.

I've used it about 5 times but won't anymore. The question for me was if it saved time and hassle. There is a saving since the checkout process is just a few seconds, but scanning each item with your phone is slower than the self-check as you have to line up the barcode more precisly. It also means your phone is at greater risk of being dropped or stolen. When I pack items in my bags at self-checkout, I can put heavy items in the bottom and fragile items on top. This is harder when packing as you go up and down the aisles. The kicker for me though, was last night my checkout was interrupted while I was randomly selected to get "audited". I had to wait 5 minutes for a store employee to come and root through my bags, looking for items that I had checked out. This took several more minutes. It was embarrassing and time-consuming. It also wouldn't have caught any shop-lifted items. I'm going back to self-checkout or the regular cashier.

Bummer. App doesn't work in most of our local store as it needs continuous data stream and there are many dead spots throughout the store. No public wifi. App just sits there trying to make a connection when scanning a single item. Data security is also weird as the app requires no password but will store all of your personal info and payment info.
