About this app

NØDopApp is a consultation application developed by the Spanish Commission for the Fight against Doping in Sport (CELAD) that allows users to consult in an easy and accessible way if a medicine authorized in the different countries integrated in the platform contains any substance included in the List of Substances and Methods Prohibited in Sport (Prohibited List) in force, published annually by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Likewise, it allows direct consultation by substances to verify if they are on the aforementioned List.

NØDopApp allows you to make a query by entering the name of the substance, the drug or the drug reference (national code or equivalent) when it appears on its labeling. Once the substance or medicine has been selected, the website will inform whether the substance or medicine consulted, as well as the substance or substances it contains, are prohibited or not, and also the possible restrictions on their use.

Likewise, information regarding the classification of doping substances according to the Prohibited List appears in the query.

There is also a section that includes the health risks posed by the illicit consumption or use of prohibited substances and methods in sport, outside the authorized indications, with the aim of increasing sports performance or muscle mass, etc.

NØDopApp does not provide information on substances present in food, food supplements, plants, medicines based on medicinal plants or homeopathic medicines.

The NØDopApp data referring to medicines are those existing in the register of medicines authorized by the different Medicines Regulatory Authorities (Medication Agencies, Ministries of Health, Ministries of Health, etc.) of the different countries that are integrated into the platform. Similarly, the information on doping substances is based on the Prohibited List in force, published by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
