this charger and the app that supp orts it are simple and intuitive. basically,just set the level of charge you want,plug in your car, and walk away. always goes to the desired charge and then shuts off. The app tracks your charge, your cost, and even graphs your electric use and costs on a weekly, monthly,and yearly basis. Perfect!

Pretty good app, allows viewing of energy usage data on each connected remote control power monitoring outlet at different scales, such as by seconds, minutes hours, and days, weeks and at least total monthly usage for incomplete current calendar month. Seems a bit tricky to switch graphical outlet usage views but then found special button for that which is working well after other viewing switching methods were mostly failing. Interface needs improvement and date range selection for kw usage.

The app is easy to use and very helpful when tracking energy use both historically and real time. Emporia offers excellent value for relatively inexpensive one-time hardware costs. Occasionally power outages create gliches with the electric meter reporting unrealistically high values, but Emporia support can run a tool to clean up the data. Having a web-based portal with a similar UI is quite helpful for desktop use. One needed improvement: offer a configurable fixed Y axis.
