About this app

EV Connect is the home of the most innovative, robust and feature-rich cloud-based software platform for managing electric vehicle charging stations, their interaction with utilities and the driver experience.

The EV Connect App uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.

Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.

With the EV Connect electric vehicle charging app, you can also:

• Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time
• Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging
• Make secure payments
• Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations
• Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions
• View a history of past charging sessions
• Report drivers that abuse charging station use

Terrible. They keep a $25 hold on your card even if the machine was faulty or did not connect. There is no way to prepay either. Report them to your state's better business bureau, if this has happened to you. Their machines are rarely working too. You get to one and it looks fine but when it doesn't connect it keeps your $25 for a couple of days. It adds up if you go to several non working machines. If you see EVConnect stay away go anywhere else. 50/50 chance it's not working.

Terminal here on Grand Island has been through redundant issues such as EV0453 being down and with parts reportedly on the way or already have been installed. Charging terminals are free to use provided by the state so that's most likely the reason why for lack of urgency to address issues. However whenever I do call a EVConnect representative they always deliver and fix the issues in a very efficient way. Could do better but not too bad.

I used this app a few months ago with no problems. today's attempt to use the app at the same facility is a total fail. It will not allow me to input the email and password because a box pops up and says that the app requires an update. However, it is updated and appears to be ready to go, but this box pops up nonetheless and I am prevented from using the charging station. Totally frustrating.

Hi Jo Anne - You should have received an email few days prior to June 23rd about our platform maintenance from 9AM to 4PM PT. This is probably the reason you were having issues with the mobile app. However, if you update your app to version 3.1.1, you should be able to use the app without any hiccups. I hope you do consider updating your review.
