About this app

The Inseego Mobile App provides a simple, intuitive interface for installing and managing one or more Inseego 5G devices.

Installation

The Mobile App helps users to install their Inseego 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) device in the optimal location to maximize broadband speed in their home, business or enterprise. Installation features are not available on Inseego mobile devices as by nature they can be moved around and don’t require installion in a fixed location.

Simply scan the QR code on your device to pair with your phone and get started.

After pairing your smart phone or tablet with your Inseego FWA device, the mobile app automatically collects signal strength data from the device’s 5G cellular connection. As you move the device to different locations and adjust the angle or orientation, the app provides easy-to-understand performance ratings. The app has customized installation flows for end-consumers doing self installation, or for professional installers.

Device Management

The Mobile App provides cloud-based device management features for all Inseego 5G devices, including FWA devices and mobile devices like the M2000 MiFi hotspot or the Skyus160 IoT gateway. The device management features of the app allow you to configure and manage all your Inseego devices on your smart phone, from anywhere in the world.
• View real-time signal strength and network statistics
• See daily and monthly data usage
• Control local WiFi settings
• Remotely reboot or factory reset a device

If you don’t have a QR code or just want to Manage a Device, you can enter the IMEI number in the App to register with the cloud and get started.

I have no opinion on this app I have to download if I want home Internet or WiFi. I'm not rating Google Play and I'm not rating US Cellular this time. I feel this app may be a bit pricey but do far I have only been able to receive a WiFi signal a few days and the box that is putting out the WiFi is right here in the next room. It will go in and out and doesn't seem to.ne very fast or reliable. This is why I decided to download the imseego Mobile app to see if it helps

it made me pick 3 or more locations to test the signal level plugging it in near a window with the back facing the window. To test in a new location you have to unplug it. Made me rescan the qr code every time to reconnect. The signal strength never went above 2 no matter how close it was to a window. I even had it on a window sill at one point. Once that is done it tells you to wait while they connect the device to their cloud and it can take up to 1 hr. It still isn't connected 2 hrs later.

This app is unnecessary IMO, besides lousy - my router works fine & the Web UI is available through the web browser on a computer connected to the internet through the router. There one can set up an account, login, and access settings. How about this? To find the best location for the router, just try out some available locations (near outlets + windows!?!) and pick the most convenient of such likely places, wherever the blue (or green) light stays on solid the most.
