Okcar supports WiFi and app can be directly connected to DVR devices. The software realizes the following functions:

Ratings and reviews

It provides necessary functionality to view recordings and manage the camera's settings, but it's a nightmare to navigate with Android Auto trying to constantly connect to the car. If you have a vpn on your phone, it's another layer of having to remember everything to disable in order to get the connection established.

It works great inside the house. Trying to connect while in vehicle poses a lot of problems as the vehicle wifi, Android auto etc...keeps knocking it off so it's a hit or miss on connectivity. Can't access rear camera view with it whether in house or in vehicle. I mainly use it to adjust settings for camera. Other than that it's pretty useless. Necessary for camera settings.

No connection issues from dash cam to phone. Although I do have to enable it manually. Every time. It's a tad annoying once connected I can't listen to music via the Alex app. Even though I have mobile data switched on. Hence the reason for 4 stars. Apart from that, the app works fine with no other issues. If you need faster downloads to your device I suggest to invest in a top quality fast sd card.
