About this app

Guiaderodas is now Wheelguide! It is the same app as before, but now with a more international name.

Use Wheelguide for rating the accessibility of venues and search for places that have been rated.

Even if you don't have restricted mobility, you can use Wheelguide for rating places. You will be helping millions of people who want to go somewhere, but don't know if they'll be able to get inside, such as wheelchair users.

How to rate?

Rating takes at most 30 seconds. You choose between green, yellow or red pin color and answer quick and simple questions to give your opinion about a place's accessibility:

Is the entrance good for people with restricted mobility?
Is there an accessible restroom?
Is there a family bathroom or baby changing room?

If you want you can write a comment with your impressions about the place's accessibility.

Even if a place has already been rated, you can rate it again. The more ratings, the better! You can rate and search for restaurants, city landmarks, hotels, bars, stores, public buildings...

With your help, we are building a more accessible world. Help millions of people to get out of home. Download the app and start now!

When an idea is good, it is good for everyone.

No map view? Also keeps nagging to turn on GPS (which kills my battery) and defaults to a different continent than I am on (maybe because I allowed location but not GPS?). Incomplete translation to English in some fields. Shows a lot of promise but I would really like to be able to look at a map view to see how many locations in an area I am traveling to/near/thru have been rated to help make advanced arrangements even if I don't know the name of all the places between for a road trip.

Hi, Ahmie, thanks for your feedback! If you would kindly send us a screenshot to contato@guiaderodas.com we will investigate the translation issue. The app isn't able to pinpoint your location without GPS. It shouldn't drain your battery: we follow Google's guidelines and use their Location API, designed to be battery efficient! Thanks in advance!

Good idea and a great start. Would be great to have things such as public transport stops, including a map of accessible vs non accessible stops. E.g. in Melbourne Australia there's heaps of tram stops, but only a few are wheelchair accessible - this kind of information would be very helpful.

Hi, Robin, thanks for the feedback! We get location data from Google Maps, so we are currently limited to what it gives us... do you know any other source we could use that includes tram stops? Thank you for your ideas, and you can also write us at contato@guiaderodas.com. If you like the app, we kindly ask to review us with 5 stars too. Thank you!
