They started charging monthly fees without my consent and depleted the entirety of my investment portfolio to pay these monthly fees. It's robbery! I tried to close the account and salvage my last few dollars and the hoops you have to jump through are extremely difficult. For example, you need a link of bank account to transfer the money but the link bank function is never available.

Problem after problem from fees to hidden purchase limits. Almost no customer service. Responses come hours to days later with no resolve in many cases. Transferring an account from Stockpile won't bring cost basis with it, so you'll have to input every previous purchase manually. If you're looking for a custodial account, there are many other options. This app was ok at best in 2019. Now its a limited mess with bots trying to answer your questions and not enough buttons to access info.

Pros: App looks great. Nice home screen. Fairly easy to navigate and lookup companies. Best of all - you can buy fractions of shares. Good for people who want to invest but can't afford full shares. Cons: Excludes many companies (maybe they are in a different index). Cannot set stock price alerts (at least not that I could find). Trades are expensive ($0.99), and you can only buy from one company at a time so you get charged the fee as many times as companies you buy stock from.
