It's somewhat spartan, but works well. The voice translation is very good. I've lived in Germany so I have some experience. There could be some embellishment of the definitions...when you put in just one word to get the definition(s) you get many results, but no further information. It would be nice if the nuances for each word were given & when it is most appropriate to use that particular word.

Having used the app for a little more than one year, I have found that the only negative issue I've experienced is that some translations are a bit too generic. Having studied German for a couple of semesters each in high school and college, I feel that I've learned enough of the rather difficult language to, at least, be able to determine whether or not a translation is concise or rather broad. But, that being said, it's still an excellent source for a quick translation.

Best translator apps I have found. Better than Google translate. Plus these are free. Friends in Germany and Poland both say these are the most accurate translators they have experience with when I use them to communicate with them in their languages. I also use the Spanish version. I also like that I can hear what the audio translations sound like. Helping me learn the languages, too. My friend from Poland said she would check these out and may use them, too
