About this app

Do you sometimes get "Winmail.dat" files containing important documents? Winmail.dat Opener is a free app that allows you to open these files and view, save or share their contents.

This app is free of charge and fully functional, without the need for further in-app purchases.

The app requires only about 3mb space and no unnecessary permissions.

Your files are processed on your phone and not sent to any external servers. This ensures that your information stays private and the app will still work when you are offline.

The app is supported by unobtrusive ads -- no overlays, pop-ups or the like.

Simple file opener that works! Didn't open the winmail.dat direct from the Samsung email app (didn't see I had a valid app for .dat files) but opened all the files within the winmail.dat file stored in Downloads (pdf, images etc) using Android 8.

I don't find that this App contains Inappropriate Ads. It's just that I don't feel this App needs Ads as the Ads are Very Much Annoying and Distracting. Then there's the quality time spent in this App it should be formatted so that a 1st timer using this App can Easily know what they should be doing. App could give Suggestions/Choice to Help the 1st time Visitor, make a Correct Choice of where to Save our Information To.

The application opens winmail.dat file and allows me to open attached files but it is impossible to extract these files out of winmail.dat. Even when I select files I want to extract and tap save icon, I can select destination directory, but there is no save button - only cancel.

Hi. Admittedly the UI of the old version was not intuitive and had generally a lot room for improvement. With the new version we improved not only the UI, but also the opening rate.
