First impressions - very challenging and fun. It's interesting to me how the reskinned but still charmingly retro aesthetic hides a surprisingly challenging game. I play the "bullet storm" subgenre of these types of games and been able to get so much farther in them than on this one, but I like that. I also like that it's not absolutely covered in ads and doesn't really force anything in your face; it just wants you to come in and have fun. I hope it doesn't let me down.

Although addictive, some of the game play is unreasonable! Weapons and extra ships shouldn't just suddenly disappear in the middle of a fight. At least wait until the cycle is over! And what's with all the debris, too distracting. Can't tell what's an enemy or just wrecked ships. This is NOT like the original game, as being claiming. Over stimulating and too frustrating. It also has a glitch as the extra missile launcher goes down the warp tunnel with the ship, firing at nothing.

super cool game! the only downside is that there are so many ads that it makes it so frustrating to play. to open a level, even if it's one you've beaten, you have to watch an ad. to get your other life (you only get two, which sucks), you have to watch an ad. yes, they are only max 30 seconds, but still super frustrating that the only way to skip the ads is to buy coins or have enough from playing the levels, which again, require you to watch ads. otherwise a pretty cool game!
