The "Church of Milan" app allows immediate access to the main information relating to the Ambrosian Diocese: the teaching of the Archbishop, Msgr. Mario Delpini, and the agenda of his public commitments, the references of the various vicariates and offices of the Curia, basic information on the 1,107 parishes, press releases and the most recent news, photo galleries, videos and photos of diocesan events .
For the presbyters of the Diocese there is access to a reserved area in which to consult further information on entities and people of the Church of Milan. Covering an area of 4,234 sq km, the Ambrosian Archdiocese (so called from the name of its patron Saint Ambrose) includes the metropolitan city of Milan, the province of Monza and Brianza, most of the provinces of Varese and Lecco, and some municipalities in the provinces of Como, Pavia and Bergamo.
In 2019 it had 5,078,297 baptized out of 5,558,412 inhabitants, the fifth diocese in the world by number of faithful. It is also one of the dioceses in the world with the highest number of diocesan priests, around 1,600 in 2023.
