Yet another way to send a waypoint to your Garmin watch, e.g. from an app like c:geo. To keep things simple, this app focuses on just waypoints.
For this to work, you need to install the matching "Android Waypoint" widget from the Garmin Connect IQ store on your watch.
My use case is as following:
1. Open the "Android Waypoint" widget on your watch.
2. In c:geo, choose "navigate with an external app". As the external app, choose this one.
3. Click "Send to watch".
The waypoint will appear in your "Saved locations" list, so you can easily navigate to it using a suitable activity.
Please keep in mind you need to open the widget for this to work. Otherwise, the waypoint will not appear in the "Saved locations" list.
When your waypoint name contains a number (e.g. "S 001"), the app can automatically count up the number after the waypoint has been sent.
As a bonus, you can also enter geocoordinates in the text fields, use the search button or just drag the marker on the map.
As you can see in the screenshots, internal conversion between different formats may lead to the last digit of the coordinates being off by one. I think in most cases, this is below GPS resolution, anyways. :-)
The location permission is only required to set the geocoordinates to your current location using the "Here" button.
This app is offered "as is" -- there are no warranties in any way.
