About this app

The APP has been prepared to make increasingly accessible of the main paths of the Gran San Bernardo Valley.
The routes are searchable by:
- map
- Route name

For each route, you can view:
- The description of how to access the starting point from Aosta or coming from the Gran San Bernardo Tunnel
- A general description of the route with the main features
- All technical data (start and share, arrival and altitude, difficulty, height, length, rise and fall time, best time) and a precise description of the climbing path.
- WP that can be points of attention (crossroads) or interest (scenic or cultural interest, etc.). For points of attention there will be a brief description, for points of interest the description will be deeper.

The base map used is made available from OpenStreetMap that contains, in addition to basic information, including the contour lines and paths.

Specific features of the APP:
- Help, using the available maps on Google Maps, to get to the point of the excursion.
- Acoustic signal when approaching a W.P. (Track record only if activated)
- Acoustic signal when you travel off the right. (This feature only if the track record enabled)
- Visura altitude and cartographic coordinates WGS84 to where you are
- Dynamic Technical data to arrive at the end of the itinerary
- Possibility to record the track and then send it by email

Keep in mind that the use of GPS has a significant energy absorption and tends to quickly download (2:00 to 5:00 hours) the cell.
To solve this problem it is advisable to have an extra battery.
Alternatively the APP allows to suspend the GPS, in this way greatly increases the life of the batteries.

They are also visible:
- The images of the individual itinerary
- A list of links to websites of interest

Points of interest:
They have entered the main points of interest: where to sleep, eat, heritage and services.
Of each point of interest are the main information.

Considering that some areas do not have phone coverage is to preload in the local base maps from the configuration.

n any case it is always essential to have a map to be used in case there were problems with the APP or there were problems with the battery. (Always recommended the spare battery).
