About this app

"Raga" is a melodic mode used in Indian classical music. It is a rhythmic expression of a mood in Indian melody. "Indian Classical Ragas" is an e-Learning application where you can learn the Ragas by knowing Aaroh, Avaroh, Vaadi, Samvaadi, Prahar and some more information. Application also displays the list of famous hindi songs based on the ragas for reference.

We are in continuous process of adding more and more songs to the application hence you can expect more frequent updates to the application. Application works very well on mobile devices as well as tablet devices.

Application shows few Devnagari letters like "Swara's". To view them correctly; we would recommend using the application on Android version 4.2+; though few earlier versions are able to render the application without any issues. Our recommendation to use 4.2 is because; Android has officially started supporting Indic Fonts from version 4.2

The Best app , I am using it since last three years. And now there are no problems in the new version. Now you can look at many ragas, one after another. Previously it won't let you do so. Previously it has problem with rag megh ranjani, if you click on the avroh of this rag, it will close the app. Now no such problem. Yes but one problem, I have lost my favourite ragas list. Overall, the best app for classical music connoisseurs. 👍👍👍

Not a serious, professional app. 1> Distracting ads, their placement on the screen completely demolishes the utility and fails the very purpose of the app. 2> the 'play' module in the individual scales doesn't work, so just when you figure out what you were searching for, you are crashed 3> for most of the Ragas there is No library for songs based on the chosen Rag All this makes it a generic , static app with some info pages uploaded which anyone can Google out.

Really sorry for the trouble. We started putting in the actual vocals instead of playing notes. Adding songs based on raagas only happens after our review and since we are only 2 people team at times pushing app updates takes much time than we plan. And we agree, if you are not happy with app you can always google and search the needed information.

Application is very useful and informative no doubt in it. I have few points- 1. पकड़(group of notes) is not available for every raag. 2. Sample audio of 'aroh' & 'avroh' is not up to the mark, it can be much better. 3. It would be great if you could add voice samples for chalan of raag, as just by looking at notes of any new raag it's quite difficult to know its form(चलन). This application would be unbeatable if you people work on it. Thank you
