Ratings and reviews

The coverage of Le Tour is generally 1st class. This app maintained the same standard of excellence across mobile devices and computers/home entertainment platforms some years ago. That is no longer the case. Most recently, the cyclists' positions on the course profile are hung up to an hour behind the live action. The app simply doesn't update in real time any more. Sad to see the polish has rubbed off what was a perfect product.

Pretty good for the most part. It's good to have on hand when you are watching live on the big screen and good for catching up on the previous stage if you go to bed before the end. Lots of helpful info, statistics and so on. I have just two issues with it. The first is that when you watch a video the screen is SUPER sensitive. Accidentally touch it and the video exits. Not a problem if its a 60 second interview but if you are near the end of a 52 minute highlights its a real hassle getting back to where you were as it doesn't remember. The other is the adds. The good news is that there aren't anywhere near as many as TdF on SBS On Demand but there are only two Skoda adds that get repeated over and over. They also tend to be very jumpy and repeat bits as they play. Overall an excellent app though.

Adequate. Has its issues though. Screen off while app is open means you get a message when you power the screen on again that the phone is offline (it's not). You can cast to a bigger screen, but the video is quite low quality (it's not 4k, I don't think it is even 1080p, by the artifacting I think it may be 720p). If you are in the middle of a video - eg the daily highlights - and the screen powers off - the video will have to be restarted from the beginning.
