About this app

Waddist is an app for and with all young people from 12 to 30 years old.

Every day you get:

- 3 questions: tell us what you think, feel and experience.
- 3 results: compare with the opinions and experiences of other young people: what do they think about, for example, mental health, gender or online bullying?
- 1 tip: get more information about the questions or change your mind with a video.

You can also send in your own questions: what would you like to know about other Waddisters?

Why this youth app?

There is a lot of talk about young people.
But Waddist thinks there is not enough talk with young people.
That is why we want to give a voice to young people and know what really is going on in “the youth of today”.
You get the floor. What do you think?

What happens to my data and answers?

To install the app, you just enter your year of birth and zip code.

Waddist only uses that information to see what young people of all ages and across Flanders and Brussels think. It does not share that personal information.

All answers you provide in the app are anonymous. Waddist cannot see who answered which answer, but only how many young people of what age and from which congregation chose a particular answer.

All questions you submit via the app are also anonymous. Waddist cannot see which question comes from whom. Unless you like to write your name, of course.

You can log in to the app with your email address or via Instagram, Google or Facebook. Waddist does not see what you choose and does not receive your login details. So there is no link whatsoever between your account and your answers.

Who owns this app?

Waddist is a project of Artevelde University College and De Ambrassade:

Artevelde University College wants to make the voice of young people sound louder and give it a place in current issues and debates about education, youth work, etc. Artevelde University College wants to help guide youth participation in new research and development projects in areas such as education, leisure and health.

The Ambrassade wants to put youth work, youth information and youth policy in Flanders on the map. Waddist is one of the tools: we discover the opinions of young people, their experiences, and what they need. We then use these results to strengthen the position of children and young people in society and to contribute to their happiness and well-being.
