E-commerce company Snapdeal is gearing up to attract buyers in second and third tier cities as part of its business expansion. Senior Vice President (Corporate Affairs) Rajnish Wahi said here that we are trying to increase the number of vendors from those areas. It claims to have registered 50,000 new sellers with them in the last financial year. At present there are 5 lakh vendors selling their products across the country. He said that only the local traders understand the needs of the people in their area and that's why they paid more attention to this. He said that the amount spent on the purchase of various goods across the country is about 80,000 crores and it is likely to reach 2 lakh crores by 2025. He said that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets are very important for them.. From here they have registered 25,000 sellers.
