About this app

The Telugu Association of Greater Sacramento (TAGS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Telugu language and culture in the Greater Sacramento region, which includes Folsom, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills, Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Elk Grove, and other nearby cities. Our mission is to bring people from all walks of life together to share Telugu cultural experiences and stories in a supportive and safe environment. We believe that understanding one another will allow us to build bridges of understanding, respect, and peace. Our organization offers a variety of programs and services to help people from various cultures connect and learn about the Telugu language and culture, which is practiced by approximately 80 million people worldwide and has its roots in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We are here to assist you whether you are participating in one of our programs, attending a cultural event, or simply learning more about Telugu culture. We strive to make meaningful connections between Telugu culture and the wider world, as well as to ensure that Telugu culture’s knowledge, values, and traditions are preserved and shared for future generations. Thank you for your interest in our organization. We look forward to collaborating with you to increase appreciation for Telugu culture and to create vibrant, inclusive communities in the Greater Sacramento area.
