The Bible (from Greek τὰ βιβλíα ta biblia - books, scrolls) is a collection of ancient texts which Christianity and partly Judaism consider sacred and inspired by God. Therefore it is also called the Holy Scripture (lat. Scriptura sacra or Scriptura sancta) or briefly just Scripture. Also known as the Book of Books. The Christian Bible consists of two parts, known as the Old and New Testaments.
The Czech Bible is a translation of the text of Bible books into the Czech language. The oldest translations of biblical texts on the Czech and Moravian territory are translations into Old Church Slavonic related to the Cyrillic-Method mission in the 9th century.
