About this game

Dual N-back is a memory training game that involves presenting two sequences (audio and visual) simultaneously. Studies have shown that this brain training improves a person’s working memory, math ability and short-term memory among others. Practice 30 minutes daily and your fluid intelligence may increase by 40% in 2 weeks!

The game will start with a default level 2, N=2...where you have to remember the position (square) and the sound (letter) from two turns back (N back). Once the position or sound matches, you have to click the corresponding button, respectively.

You can change the default setting as you prefer. Good performance will get you to level up, or manually set the level that you prefer.

Increase your brain power! Have a fluid mind and maximize your intelligence. This is not an easy game so fail over and over and exercise your willpower muscle! A challenging gameplay experience! It takes a few days and you gain the skill for the rest of your life.

Clean and simple intro to dual n-back training. It's a good app for getting into brain training--the dual N-back has research behind it, and it actually improves memory, unlike most other such games. [UPDATE 18Aug v2.9.15-The all time high score stats are mostly fixed. The weekly high scores list is still broken--some days it still fails to load.]

Great app! However, something I would like to see in the future is the option to switch the position of both "sound" and "position" buttons, because when I started using this app I had already used a website with the "position" button on the left and the "sound" button on the right. This means that I had to re-learn which side had which button and it brought me a lot of frustration at first.

Not like the original. If you fail it is supposed to go back a level and if you succeed you go up a level that's how the brain training works. It stumps your brain when you change a level. Also on level zero there is supposed to be 21 letter sounds and positions and every level after that you add one. So level 1= 22, level 2= 23 and level 3= 24 and so forth.

What's new

Added the 'Play Again' button to the results screen, you can jump back into training without extra taps.
Added reminder prompts, making it easier to stay on track with your training.
Enhanced the level-up criteria, it will only prompt when your accuracy for both sound and position is at least 65%
The tutorial video now opens directly in the app (no more redirects!)
