- Select your proficiency in each language you select.
- Browse local users by clicking "People" on the bottom tab.
- Click on their photo to view their profile.
- Read description and comments by previous language partners.
- Check their distance.
- See any mutual friends.
- Click the "Send message" button to start chatting.
- Translate any text to better understand your new friend.
- Organize a meetup.

Ratings and reviews

When you click a notification, it opens to the home page (not the chat window); When you open a chat, it starts at the beginning of the conversation and THEN scrolls to the bottom. For long conversations, this is super annoying; There's no native support for emojis (ala WhatsApp); There no support for media; Every time you want to find a chat partner, you have to wade through all the people you previously dismissed; There's no filters when you want to find a chat partner (except by region which makes NO sense at all); Many users don't properly set their known languages by 'want to learn' language, which is a UI/UX problem w/ the app. If I want to learn Spanish, the list of potential chat partners should be sorted by the language I want to learn (geography filter is not relevant for this app)

I was looking for an app with serious language learning partners. Idyoma is definitely not that. The app is designed to look like a dating app, where you swipe on people that the app recommends to you. Why should how we look like matter?

This is exactly the language exchange app that I've been looking for. Just all about languages and video calls for exchanges. There's one problem though. I can't seem to verify my account. I've clicked verify and nothing happens...
