About this app

This app is produced by the National HIV & TB Health Care Worker Hotline in South Africa. The hotline is run by the Medicines Information Centre, situated in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Cape Town and is funded by the NDOH. It provides up-to-date, simple, and easy-to-use access to the latest HIV & TB information wherever you are, including:

- Drug Interactions: search multiple ARVs and essential medicines simultaneously.

- Management of Adverse Drug Reactions: rash, kidney injury & liver injury made easy via algorithms.

- DR-TB Adverse Drug Reactions: search via medicine or adverse reaction.

- ARV & TB Drug Info: find dosages, contraindications, etc.

- Guideline Posters: National & Western Cape, including TB & ART for adults and children, PMTCT, PEP, PrEP, RR-TB, DTG interactions and dosing charts for children. BONUS: they’re now shareable and printable.
NDOH Algorithms: as per National guidelines. Also shareable.
