Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. It proved very popular, and flourished as one of the major schools of philosophy from the Hellenistic period through to the Roman era, and has been revived in the current era as Modern Stoicism.

The Daily Stoic app is a hand-picked collection of inspirational quotes on Stoicism from Roman and Greek philosophers like Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Seneca, Zen of Citium, Hierocles, Chrysippus and Musonius Rufus.

Ratings and reviews

I enjoy the daily quote and I can set the time. What I don't like is I can't find an internal setting that will allow me to adjust the font colour or brightness. I can see the Stoic but not the quote. This app works for Stoic quotes if you do not use dark mode (or dark mode with excellent eyesight) just need an option to adjust the quote contrast

Good selection of quotes, well-presented in a savable and downloadable form. It would be nice if there was a link to a bit more discussion on the quote for further reading - will give 5 stars if that feature is added.

These quotes are awesome, sometimes when you are having a bad day or hard time, it makes you think and puts everything in perspective, and the worl and life have no wait on your shoulders. It helps you get more done.
