Ratings and reviews

The game is good and very skill based. I have not seen any pay-to-win. I have a problem, however. Medals that you earn in battles (such as Ace and Dominator) do not seem to really provide a reward. There are rewards for winning and getting first place in battle but that's just about it. The progression feels too slow and having challenging medals reward the player could help a lot. It could also incentivize players to get better to progress faster and maybe spend some money on the game, I would.

The game is great. The graphics, controls and flying options are all great also. The problem is the matchmaking!!! You can, and will often be going against much higher ranked pilots and planes, which means you will be shot out of the sky before you can even lock on to them, or be killed by guns in the blink of the eye. If the matchmaking was balanced to plane and pilot, the overall experience would be easily 5 stars. Update: the latest updates cause loss of plane control and match restarts.

Gameplay was pretty good, at first. Then arrives two updates back to back. After the updates, the turn radius of the craft was nerfed. Not able to be competitive in aerial dogfights, any longer. Redownloaded Metalstorm. All was well for around three days. Suddenly aircraft airspeed is nerfed to the point where the only time you are able to accelerate is with afterburners active! EVEN putting the aircraft into a dive yields negative airspeed (deceleration). Like, what?!
