Téo is the easiest way to order a taxi in Montreal, on its north and south shores, as well as in Gatineau.

Request a ride, find out about your driver and the vehicle, receive a notification when the driver arrives, view your itinerary on a live map, pay automatically with your smartphone, and rate your ride.

App bugs a lot. Hard to have a driver even downtown. Not all is the software though could be lack of staff. Drivers weren't picking up the calls either. Lots of "oops something went wrong" errors when doing various things on the app. App doesn't work well at times when trying to see your current ride etc. Changing the default tip amount was hard (you can configure it in settings btw) I lowered it but then wanted to give more cuz my driver was really nice and helpful with my stuff but errors..

First time user and experience was great. Clean car and the driver was friendly and professional. Had my default tip at 15% but able to change it on the fly. Seeing how far out the cab was and seeing it on the app it was very accurate. EDIT: This service is not what it used to be. When no Teo taxis are available they send a diamond taxi which he had a difficult time finding my home by taking a much longer route to come pick me up.

I am sick of this app. This is the second time that I get a booking confirmation by SMS, but then the app says they can't find a driver in my area (there's plenty of nearby drivers on the map) and stops tracking the driver. I don't know what to do when that happens so I cancel the trip by SMS which wastes both my and the driver's time. I resisted switching to Uber because I wanted to give my business to taxi drivers but I don't think I have a choice anymore.
