This app illustrates how even very small elements of the UI can make a big difference. The position of the buttons make it easier to move a piece in the wrong way; the fact that pieces appear incomplete makes it harder to plan; the way pieces tend to “stick” rather than slide when you need to move horizontally after descending; these small things add up to a frustrating Tetris clone. It's not terrible, but it needs polish.

Playable. Not great. Pieces will seemingly at random not lock into place after touching the bottom and your inputs for the next one suddenly apply to the previous piece. Plus there's no grid. Doesn't look anything like the icon, it feels like a cheap Xbox live arcade game. At least it's actually Tetris, which is surprisingly hard to find on the app store.

Truly free and close to classic. I can't find anything better but there's some improvement that can be done. The control buttons are badly placed and too small at the bottom of the screen resulting in numb fingers and missed placements. There's a shape or so that can be added. In short, these are not deal breakers. This is a proper Tetris'like game.
