About this app

Because of lack of pinpoint accuracy and localization errors in maps, GPS turn-by-turn navigation might not guide blind people to arrive the precise locations of bus stops. Merely 30 feet may be large enough to make them miss the buses entirely.

All Aboard app uses camera to help blind people find bus stop signs in the vicinity. Use smartphone camera to scan surrounding. If there is one, All Aboard will inform users how far away the bus stop sign is using auditory cues.

All Aboard can recognize bus stop signs in the following regions.

Massachusetts MBTA
New York City MTA
California AC Transit
Chicago CTA
Los Angeles Metro
Seattle Metro
Washington DC Metrobus
Toronto TTC
London bus services
Germany bus and tram

Turn on sign reading mode, to read text on road signs.
