About this app

FairEmail is easy to set up and works with virtually all email providers, including Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo!

FairEmail might be for you if you value your privacy.

FairEmail is simple to use, but if you are looking for a very simple email app, FairEmail might not be the right choice.

FairEmail is an email client only, so you need to bring your own email address. FairEmail is not a calendar/contact/task/note manager and cannot make you coffee.

FairEmail does not support non-standard protocols, like Microsoft Exchange Web Services and Microsoft ActiveSync.

Almost all features are free to use, but to maintain and support the app in the long term, not every feature can be for free. See below for a list of pro features.

A lot of effort has gone into this mail app, which was developed to help you protect your privacy. If you have a question or problem, there is always support at marcel@faircode.eu.

Among a gazillion other email clients, this one is the absolutely best. You can even add a note if you need to follow up, and you can change even the color of the note! You can change the color of the star. You can send set the priority high, so that the email stays on the top of your list. It is very fast an infinitely configurable. and to make it absolutely perfect, the developer responds instantly. I used about a dozen different email clients, and this is like jet vs horse buggy. Remarkable

I only want to receive messages, which is pretty unusual. I misunderstood an error message and was confused. It works great and was easy to set up once my confusion was cleared up by the developer. It looks good on the screen, which is nice. If you also just want to receive only, once you put in your imap or pop details, you are done. It looks like you need to do something with smtp, but just skip that. Just back arrow and it works.

You can most certainly just use IMAP and any tunneling, etc. you want! I do my best, and I'm sure there is no such limitation, and therefore a 1* for this reason is rather disappointing. Please contact me via marcel@faircode.eu, and I'll help you configure the app as you want. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, so please give it a chance.

This is an unsolicited review. Over the years I have tried a number of email apps for my Android phone, but FairEmail tops them all. It is amazingly well-designed and fully-customizable for all three of my email accounts so that I can make it fit my needs perfectly. And the app support by its creator is equal to none -- prompt, thorough, and pleasantly interactive. Although the free version is more than adequate, I purchased the pro version if for no other reason than to compliment the author.
