What is BHIM?

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is a UPI enabled initiative to facilitate safe, easy & instant digital payments through your mobile phone.

Requirements:

Before you register on the app, please ensure the following:

You have linked your Mobile Number with your Bank Account and the same is used for accessing BHIM.

Your phone should have an active SIM linked to your Bank Account.

In case of Dual SIM, kindly ensure that you’ve selected the SIM card linked to your Bank Account.

You have a valid Debit Card for your Bank Account. This is required to generate UPI PIN.

• Transaction limit is Rs. 1,00,000 per transaction and per day

One of very worst app which is live to users. Never seen such worst app in my life it doesn't have the basic logic handling and functionalities After clicking on "Forgot Passcode" it goes to the verification page and after that it lands on the login page again which ideally a user gets when opening. No option to change password. I struck for 3 months. "Something went wrong" only action I get to do from this application even after putting right credentials is getting the above error message.

App is not user friendly. 1. Auto reading OTP feature doesn't work properly 2. No feature to do mobile prepaid recharge. All mobile operators are not listed. 3. Electricity bill has bad UX. No options are displayed there as well 4. The UPI lite can be reformed as BHIM wallet, with provision to add or tranfer money easily. There is no provision to set UPI LITE as default right now. It takes the bank account from where UPI LITE is created, and this creates confusion for user.

I encountered an issue while using the app. After granting all necessary permissions, the OTP was sent, but the app only accepts the OTP if it is automatically detected. On my device, the OTP arrives before the OTP screen appears, causing the app to fail in detecting the OTP automatically. I have tried multiple times but couldn't find a solution. Additionally, there is no option to enter the OTP manually. This needs to be addressed for a smoother user experience. Please look into this issue.
