From a first-time participant on this app-- The audio was so buggy, it cut off part of every single sentence the other person said. It seemed to do the same for me too because they often couldn't hear me. The UI was cleanly designed but the instructions window should be a chat window instead. There needs to be a clearer way to end the call rather than a button buried in the "pause session" menu. Also very unclear what "Landing Page" is.

I saw the Dismal rating and I want to give it a little bit better one. I just did a research call using this app and other than one screen that was a little bit confusing, the app worked very very well on my Android phone. I'm not totally sure why the ratings are so low. The interviewer seemed to be able to see my screen and my camera at the same time. Also because I use a note phone, they could even follow along where my finger was using my pen. Great app.

From a researcher standpoint, this app can be really annoying. I constantly experience dropped calls and audio issues. While I'm sure some of this can be attributed to the participant's connections (areas with poor wifi, etc), the majority of times it's not the case. Many of my colleagues routinely experience the same issues. It's also frustrating not to be able to have a chat function in the platform, as when these issues happen it means I have to fiddle around with email, which can often have a long delay and end up wasting most of my interview time. Lookback has some great features, but it's truly frustrating to use like 70% of the time, for both the participant and the researcher. Realistically the rating is probably more like a 2.5, but I've rounded up because I truly do believe the concept is a great one, and if these issues were fixed it would be amazing.
