About this app

At Null-Return IT Services & Consulting, one of our primary areas of focus is the internet of things and data rendering. One of the cool platforms we started to utilize was a web dashboard and device API service provided by Initial State. With a wide range of API's to use with various edge devices, combined with useful data analysis and visual representations, Initial State offers an exceptional user experience for both beginners and advanced users.

Web dashboards are extremely useful, but you know what can sometimes be even more handy? A mobile app!

Our solution to this was to build an app that opens directly to an overview tab with sensor values for your home, which are fed by data streams set up by you... using whatever edge devices you want! ESP32, Raspberry Pi, you name it! As long as you have data streams going to your Initial State dashboard, the app will be able to show them.

In addition to the Overview tab, there's also a tab for a more detailed web dashboard that you can easily create while logged in to the Initial State account page.

There is also a sideview tab for any additional online dashboards you may be using as well. Personally, we LOVE many of the gadgets built by Adafruit Industries, and their Adafruit IO dashboard is equally great for visualizing project data!

***IMPORTANT NOTES***

We prefer not to utilize any kind of ads for this app :)

**The only thing that is locked is the name of the main feeds that the app retrieves, which are named as follows:

- LivingRoom-Temperature
- LivingRoom-Humidity
- Bedroom-Temperature
- Bedroom-Humidity

This means that the endpoints that your devices send data to need to have these names as well!

***Null-Return IT and this app are in no way affiliated with the Initial State dashboard service. We've loved using their platform, and simply wanted to help expand its portability and functionality by creating a simple mobile app***
