I'd give it 5 stars because it does work if you follow the directions, but since the last update, it stopped working when I'm also logged in through a VPN on my phone. Tried two different VPN apps and providers, so I'm pretty sure it broke during the last update. I'll definitely bring it back up to 5 stars when I'm able to use it in conjunction with a VPN.

At first glance, the app appears very inelgant, but after I actually set it up, it worked 3x better than I thought it would. A tip for using the connect button: make sure that on the device the Hotspot is coming from has the "wps" button selected BEFORE selecting connect as it will take a lot less time for it to connect. You don't even need a Hotspot plan, but mind your cell data limit, as it is used if you don't have wifi.

I like this app. I went ahead and bought the paid version even though I’m not sure in my case it gave me any more features that I really need. The only disappointment I have is that I can’t see a way to connect with devices like smart plugs and smart light bulbs, Alexa echo or Nest Home devices. It would really be nice to have those capabilities. Perhaps I need a rooted device and the Netshare+ for that?
