Levels of noise in decibels (dB) according to American Academy of audiology:

IMPORTANT information about Perfect Sound Meter: This tool is not a professional device to measure decibels. You have to know that the built-in microphones were aligned to human voice (300-3400Hz, 40-60dB). Therefore the maximum values are limited by the hardware limitation, and very loud sound (100+ db) cannot be recognized.
Remember that sound meter app is only for fun and please use it as an auxiliary tool.

It's rubbish, it doesn't give you real time reading. There is a lag between the instance the sound is produced and the meter response. One would understand it, if it was an analogue meter, and the inertia of the needle might contribute to the delay, even so it won't be this much. This is a digital reader, despite made to look like an analogue type. Therefore, I shall be deleting the app. If I had the time I would build one my self.

I call BS. I had it calibrated at 0, and put it right next to my exhaust on my Dodge Charger Scat Pack, with mid muffler delete, and on a COLD START it only hit 45/47 decibels!! that should have spiked at LEAST 100/115 on start up. so I say this app is not even close to being accurate!!!! UNINSTALL

Will not quit jumping between 28 dm & 32 dm. And I perfectly quiet room. No sound there was no wind was no rain. There were no animal sounds of any kind. And Wood jump I live in a house too far off an old blacktop road. That a super microphone might pick up. And no start over reset from zero.
