What can you do with the Tolkcontact app?
● In emergency situations you can directly contact the emergency number 112. You can speak or type yourself; the 112 employee types back.
● The app also allows you to quickly and easily call anyone you want via KPN Teletolk. You can make and receive calls. You choose in advance whether you want to call with text or with image. And if you want you can also speak during the conversation. The KPN Teletolk employee pronounces what you type or gesture. And type or gesture back what the person you are calling says.
● You can also use the app to deploy a remote interpreter. Handy if you unexpectedly need a sign language interpreter.
● You can also call the Tolkcontact customer service. So you can ask all your questions in sign language.
Are you deaf or hard of hearing? An account for the Tolkcontact app is reimbursed by your health insurance.
