Shah Mat is chess you open and play — no account, no email, no waiting.
FOUR-PLAYER CHESS ON ONE PHONE
Four people, one phone, one board. Everyone gets their own army and the turn goes around; when a king falls that player is out and the game continues between the rest; the winner is whoever has the most points, and the last one standing takes the biggest bonus. This is not ordinary chess on three boards — it is a different game, where alliances shift inside a single match.
Most people have never played chess in this form. That is exactly why it is here: a table with four people and a single phone in the middle.
CHESS960 — THE OPENING CANNOT BE MEMORISED
The back rank is shuffled at random across 960 possible arrangements, identical for both sides. Memorised openings are worth nothing; the game starts with thinking from move one. Castling works correctly even when the king and rooks begin on unusual squares — the hardest part of this variant, and the part verified by perft.
PLAY HOWEVER YOU LIKE
• Alone, across eight levels: from beginner to maximum.
• Four players on the same device.
• Against a random opponent, with a rating.
• With a friend, over a private link.
• Two players on the same device, with a board that flips itself.
PUZZLES — FIND THE MATE
60 positions where White mates in one or two moves. Every one is verified by the engine itself: the mate is forced and the first move is the only one that gives it, so no puzzle ever rejects a correct solution.
WORKS OFFLINE
The move search runs on your phone, not on a server. So solo play, four-player games and puzzles keep working on the bus, in a lift and on a plane — and none of your moves need to travel anywhere.
FIVE VARIANTS
Standard, Chess960, King of the Hill, Three-check and Antichess.
A RATING WITHOUT A PASSWORD
Your rating is kept without an email and without a password — just a name you choose yourself, and even that is only needed for online play. Whenever you want, you can delete the account yourself with one tap under Online → ⚙.
FOR ANYONE STILL LEARNING
Legal moves are highlighted, check is shown, and you can take a move back — three free take-backs per game. Eight levels means the first one can genuinely be beaten.
