About this app

SFK MindCare trains the self-perception of a dependency disorder and shows possibilities for self-regulation.

The app was developed by the addiction clinic Zurich in collaboration with the Bern University of Applied Sciences and is completely free and ad-free.

From a therapeutic point of view, the main purpose of the app is to train self-awareness (craving, tensions, emotions) and apply useful self-regulatory strategies. Numerous tools and functions support the users in dealing with the substance desire. Craving and consumerism can be grasped as well as the own tension as well as specific emotions. Diary entries allow developments and progress in the treatment process to be understood. In addition, the app offers valuable tips and exercises for dealing with craving and tension as well as supportive instructions for mindfulness exercises and relaxation meditations.

Although SFK MindCare is primarily targeted at patients in the addiction specialist clinic, it can be of great help to anyone affected by a particular addiction disorder.

WHAT THE APP CAN NOT
Of course, an app can not and must not replace human contact. The personal care and individual treatment are undiminished central. But the app can be a welcome adjunct and is a useful tool for those affected to self-control, self-regulation and self-awareness.
