1.8.4 changes since 1.7.9:
Additions:
- Re-added preloaded orb distortion effect.
- Added new platform indicator light burst effects.
- Levels can now be selected and skipped via the level library.
- Integrated Google Analytics functionality.
- Added new option icons and option functionality for cycle rates of 90 and 120 (only available for devices with 90 / 120 hertz displays).
- Added a code entry button in the settings screen that can be used to gain access to exclusive content.
- Added a new set of orb sprites.
- Added a stat for how many levels a player has skipped.
- Added 2 new levels.
Fixes:
- Fixed a data corruption error caused by an orb match containing an out-of-bounds orb_index.
- Fixed an issue where pressing the menu button or changing orb sprites (+ any single-frame skip) with a cycle rate of 30 would pause battery optimisation logic.
- The game version can no longer cause real conversion errors during the main data loading process.
- Corrupted data is now appended as error entries to the main data file, rather than saving a new file for each occurrence.
- When the settings surface is lost, the label alpha for disabled buttons is now correctly reused.
- Fixed some funky behaviour caused by selecting a level from the level library while a replay was active.
- Some special effects and their associated settings are now disabled if the device does not support them (avoids fatal crash).
- Fixed an issue caused by the press release listener not triggering for the library controller when the game loop was blocked via a system message.
Improvements:
- The main menu button is now highlighted for first-time users.
- Added +1 platform tolerance to levels 222, 229, 288, 302, 360 and 369.
- Alpha blending is now disabled when drawing the background to improve performance.
- The current orb style (along with background and menu theme) is now saved and loaded from the options file (may be temporary).
- Reduced difficulty of levels 69 and 288.
- The menu can now be closed by pressing anywhere outside the main button area.
