About this app

Increase your card security with TruWest® Card Manager. As a TruWest Credit Union member, you can control several aspects of your TruWest Visa® credit or debit card’s usage, including conveniently locking a lost or stolen card from your mobile device.

With TruWest Card Manager, you can:

• Turn your debit or credit card on/off. Easily lock and unlock your cards if they are lost or stolen.

• Get transaction alerts in real time. Customize alerts to help you monitor activity on your card.

• Set transaction limits and restrictions. Control how your cards may be used by adding spending limits, merchant categories and transaction types.

Use this app in conjunction with TruWest Credit Union app to get the most benefit out of your card. For the TruWest Card Manager app, you will create a new username and password.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

This app lets you set spending limits on your debit & credit card, get instant notifications when transactions are processed using your card, you can suspend your card entirely, and you can block certain types of transactions (ATM, International, Online, etc.) It even has a location match feature you can enable that will make sure your card is approved while traveling, as long as your phone is there with the card (using your phone's GPS). No need to notify TruWest about your travel plans!

When I need it most (new cards, about to leave for international travel, Google Wallet not happy), it won't even open, it just says "Sorry, we are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later." No idea whether it's a problem with the app itself or if the TruWest system is down. Not helpful at all.

Like every other banking or cell phone company app, it is designed to frustrate you to the point that you want to throw your phone in a lake and move into the woods alone and drifting. This app refuses to accept that my last name, the one right there, plain as day, on my card, is valid. That was after fighting me about my, also right there on the card, first name. Unreal. Do not use this app if you have any semblance of sanity left that you value.
