This app allows you to control Sky Q TV through your smartphone.
Please keep in mind that this is not the official Sky Q app, but with this Remote Control app, you can control it.

Our app includes a variety of remote models, so choose the one that works with your device.

The app was designed to enable you to use your Sky Q TV device even when you can't find your remote control! However, please note that the app requires a device with an IR sensor or a wifi connection.

The older version worked perfectly with all 3 Sky Q boxes. This new version finds none of them and is therefore useless. Uninstalled 👎 Developer responded saying that a bug had been fixed with latest version and to try it again. So, reinstall to try again and again this app still doesn't find any of my sky boxes. Uninstalled forever now. 👎👎👎

Can't fault this app, It does everything the Sky Q remote does with no issues whatsoever. I use it when I can't be bothered to get the remote 😂 Only thing I'd ask for is a quick settings toggle or a widget for quicker access. Also auto connecting to my sky box would be handy so I don't have to do it manually each time.

Great solution for when sky remote stopped working! Unfortunately the "play/pause" button will not work as a "play" button - it pauses live TV or recording, but will not play it again - I have to press the "return/back" button to either return to true live TV (ie, unable to watch what had been paused), or to come out of recording altogether and then press the middle selection button to go back in again and resume playback. Also, volume & mute buttons don't work. Far too many annoying adverts.
