Excellent, I was looking for a better image to text converter and was recommended to try Scannerate. It has worked brilliantly and is more user friendly & accurate than anything I have tried previously. Also, as noted by a previous reviewer, it would be a great addition to be able to scan images in a pdf file rather than having to screenshot them first and then scan them.

Best open source or offline OCR. Opening exclusively by screenshot-crop-share-select app. The "copy text on screen" app has select text option, and I don't need to crop, which is a better user experience.It also aligns the text better, probably closed implementation of OCR(cloud services likely). But that one also needs internet(at least seems to). So this open, offline option is still pretty good.
