Awful app. It's slow, buggy, and now requires you to sign up for their caca cloud service to see the gif alerts, which was never mentioned in the documentation. It's also ridiculous that you have to use their caca app to setup their products. They also do everything they can to keep customers from being able to use open-source solutions. Neither their firmware nor app are open source either, so you have no idea what they're really doing. Don't go with Foscam.

I'm not sure why so many have problems. It is a bit hard to set up, but not unreasonable. I can reliably log into my camera at my dad's house across country through an old Android phone at any time. I have it set for motion alert to send me an email with pictures when someone comes to the house, which it reliably does. All without using the cloud service, though I might for storage one day. Great bargain for light security monitoring. Love the sleep mode feature. Updated 1/2020 from 2017.

Don't install 1 Nov 2020 update! I'm so upset that I did and didn't listen more to comments. Putting in the pw everytime I switched to look at another app was irritating enough, but now I have to see the silly splash screen first before doing the pw. Before, when a camera would look at my SD card, I couldn't delete the image. I was hoping this would be fixed in an update. Wrong! Now, if I can get the app not to crash long enough I do have the option to save the video, but it crashes on saving.
