Stolen Vanagons
The main purpose of this app is to help recover stolen Vanagons. We have a REPORT STOLEN VAN feature which in case your van is stolen, you fill out the form with your vehicle's information and a photo. Once we receive it we put out a PUSH NOTIFICATION to all VanAlert users/Vanagon owners. This helps get the community involved in helping locate your Van, they'll be notified with all of the information you provided.

Repair Shop Database
We have a database of reputable repair shops that know how to work on these classic vehicles. Say for instance, if you break down, simply open the VanAlert app and click on the Repair Shops icon. A listing of crowdsourced repair shops that other Vanagon/Bus owners have used and recommend that are in the area will show up based on your current GPS location. All of the contact info is there at your fingertips.

Event Calendar
A nationwide VW Event Calendar is available that'll list every VW Event within your area so there is no stressing out over missing one. These are also crowd sourced by attendees and event organizers.

Ratings and reviews

This app is great for us Westy owners. Seems to work fine on my Android, I had heard there was some problems with Androids earlier but it seems to work good now. I have used this a few times when I got stuck and got really nice results.

2021 Apr 9 - invalid email address 2017 Nov 5 - still can't view comments, but my wife can on her identical model phone, Moto X Play, both running with Android Nougat. Reinstalling doesn't workv to solve the problem BUT logging out of the VA app and logging in again DOES work to read one or two posts with comments and then it's back to no viewable comments again. I originally did not sign up using the FB method (FB of not installed on my phone and my wife's phone) Hope that helps with debug.

Great VW Bus and Vanagon community app! Sometimes slow on my android but always works. Awesome resource always being updated, by both positive and negative reviews by the VW community. Word gets out. Good quick fix on anything BUS. Driveway hosts, I have not used it or hosted yet(excited to host my first traveller) but seems like a great fundamental resource for anyone traveling. Would definitely recommend if you own a VW Bus for advice, repairs, community, conversations, and pictures!
