About this app

“Engineering Weight Calculator” is a simple application developed to simplify the task of theoretical calculation of mass and cost of standard engineering/structural components such as:
- Plates/Chequered plates,
- Round and polygonal bars,
- Hollow round and rectangular pipes,
- Standard rolled beams, channels, angles, tee sections, (Inbuilt dimensional data as per applicable ANSI/AS/BS/IS/ISO Standards included),
- Non-standard/Generic beams, channels, angles, tee sections, etc.

Other features:
- Calculate mass and cost of multiple components added in a list. This list can be exported in the form of a Excel or text file for future reference. These files can be accessed in the default app folder when the device is connected to a computer via USB.
- Calculate surface area of few of above mentioned components.
- Includes Metric and Imperial units
- Unit conversion for mass and linear dimensions units
- Specific gravity for commonly used materials
- Gauge conversion for thickness, Inch fractions conversion table
- Tables for selecting some standard available round and rectangular hollow tubes.
- Expression calculator to evaluate simple mathematical and trigonometrical expressions.

Suggestions and comments for further improvement to enhance the application usefulness shall be highly appreciated and incorporated whatever feasible.

This an excellent App out of all the weight calculator. I am using thia app since 2005. Any body who is running his small Fabrication unit or Big Unit it calculate product cost in minutes. I have desktop version for same. Which is very fruit full. Mr Prasad you made miracle. An I had suggested hundreds of people your app.

nice app.... i will suggest you to work on apps design. colour combination is not as attractive as it should be.... please check colour combination of metal weight calculator MetWet apps... its too cool... and there is so much flexibility of entering different sizes in different units.

App is well and good, suggestions are you can give an option to add more metals manually where we can give the density. And also metric conversion from kg to gram etc etc.

What's new

Code update as per latest Android version updates.
Recent Android security updates does not allow file and folder creation except designated folder. The text and excel file saved from list will now not be accessible from this device.
However, these files can be accessed from a computer connected to this device via USB through file explorer.
