The app is incredibly slow to control the WiiM, and the app-driven remote pairing is touchy, unreliable, and poorly documented. The WiiM itself is wonderful (once the remote is finally paired.) Integration with Amazon HD music is excellent. I only use the app to control WiiM settings, which are numerous and flexible.

It works but not as simple as described, especially when you want advanced options for HD. Ships with no Instruction manusl...it's buried in the Android App...and not download able for printing. Finally installed the desktop app and the Wii home page has the download. Still advanced connections like NAS not covered... You can play from your C drive.... Not sure how that app works with cell app. I'm reasonably tech savvy and it TOOK ALL DAY.... SOUND QUALITY seems good...especially HD toslink

The app is functional and does what you expect it to pretty well. It has all the services you would want, other than Apple music, but chances are that doesn't matter to you if you're using the android version. My only complaint is that certain services, like Tidal, require you to use the in-app music browser, which is kind of janky. It works most of the time, but I've had it mess up and play the wrong song a few times. It's also a bit annoying to navigate
